2016 sees a constellation of IP stars at Spoor & Fisher
The strength of a team is determined by the abilities of its individual members and Spoor & Fisher’s “IP Stars” named in the most recent Managing Intellectual Property ratings, point to the synergy that has secured the firm a pre-eminent position in the field of IP law in South Africa.
Managing Intellectual Property (also known as MIP) is an internationally-respected publication that conducts an annual world-wide survey of IP law practices. Data for the survey is collected by means of interviews conducted with in-house counsel and practitioners to assess the quality of service that is delivered to clients. During this process, leading individuals within each practice are also identified and awarded “IP Star” status within the overall MIP survey.
In the most recent survey, Spoor & Fisher was rated “Best Intellectual Property Law Firm in South Africa” for 2016, with (in alphabetical order) Lance Abramson, Tertia Beharie, Dina Biagio, David Cochrane, Craig Kahn, Mark Kemp, Mohamed Khader, Jean McIvor, Wayne Meiring, Hugh Moubray, Louise Myburgh, Charles Webster, Jonathan Whittaker and Eben van Wyk receiving specific recognition as “IP Stars”.
In reacting to the news, the Chairperson of Spoor & Fisher, Keith Brown, commented that “our IP Stars set the benchmark for the entire firm – and keep us on course as a leading IP practice in South Africa. Congratulations to them all.”
