Spoor & Fisher helps to light up IP law with a 3-day short course at the University of Stellenbosch

A flash of genius can be the first step towards business growth and ongoing prosperity – but only if intellectual property (IP) is safeguarded, nurtured and profitably exploited. This makes a fundamental understanding of IP law essential for anyone who creates, manages or deals with these fascinating intangible assets.

The Intellectual Property Law Short Course, presented by the Anton Mostert Chair of Intellectual Property Law of the University of Stellenbosch, will provide anyone who is interested in IP law and its practical application with a general introduction to matters including patents, trade marks, copyright and designs and their practical application. Members of Spoor & Fisher are among the speakers, with Paul Ramara, Eben van Wyk, Danie Pienaar and John Foster offering an insight to their specific fields of expertise.

This year’s course will be presented at the Stellenbosch University Institute for Advanced Studies and will take place from 6 to 8 June 2018. There are no academic admission requirements and a certificate of attendance will be issued on completion. Registration closes on the 31st of May 2018 and you can click here for further information.
