Spoor & Fisher named top IP law firm by MIP
Spoor & Fisher has been named as South Africa's leading intellectual property (IP) law firm, for the second year in a row. The award was conferred at the fourth annual Managing IP Global Awards ceremony held at the Dorchester Hotel in London, where the world's leading IP law firms were named.
More than 250 guests from 230 countries attended the awards ceremony, which was put together by Managing IP magazine, the leading publication of its kind in the world.
The rankings were compiled by Managing IP's team of researchers in London, New York and Hong Kong, covering 70 markets over a period of six months. In total more than 50 awards were presented to the world's leading IP law firms. The firms were ranked according to their expertise and their ability to service clients. Spoor & Fisher edged out 10 other IP law firms to win the award.
“We have been ranked in the top tier for Patents and Trademarks in Africa. We are very honoured to be recognised in this way again," says Chris Bull, managing partner of Spoor & Fisher. "Managing IP is a publication which carries a tremendous amount of weight in the world of intellectual property”.
"At Spoor & Fisher we work extremely hard in making sure that we are providing a consistent, world-class service to our clients. It is pleasing to see that our efforts in this regard are being acknowledged by international and local clients that are involved in intellectual property.”
Founded in 1920, Spoor & Fisher has evolved into a multinational law firm providing sound and innovative solutions across the full spectrum of intellectual property law.
